To kick off the weekend, we are hosting our Pyebaek 폐백, a traditional Korean tea ceremony and a welcome party. Come for a relaxed gathering with lots of Korean, Lao and Vietnamese food!
Pyebaek 폐백 is a Korean unification ceremony
We will serve tea to our elders and offer deep bows as a sign of respect and gratitude
Traditionally, Pyebaek is held after the wedding celebration—but we are doing ours before :)
Watch out for flying fruit! A tossing of dates and chestnuts playfully predicts how "fruitful" we will be
Featuring flavors from both of our worlds
where we honor our parents, receive their blessings, and formally merge our two families
